We waited there like that for several minutes then the dragon crashed through the wall right in front of me. Waiting as I was I got a shot off and it hit! But I got nocked on my ass. The kobold did some kind of magic armor and the demon hit it with lightning! But that didn’t stop this beast. It must have been about 50 feet long, trim to spiked tail, with it hit me with on its way past. My ears were still ringing a little but I’m pretty sure the kobold started begging? which I think was some kind of ruse. Then the demon hit it with lightning again and the paladin whiffed big on hitting it with her club. About then I noticed the golem show so I shot again (which bounced off the dragons tough hide) and ran over to hide behind my big metal friend, who himself shot the dragon with some kind of magic, illusory, bow.

Then the dragon breathed ice onto us all, and I passed out for a hot second. I had, previously, tried to teach Harold how to apply a health potion in the event I went unconscious, but this did not seem to take as when I woke up I could still feel the potions weight in my pocket. When I woke up the scene was still, rough, but not the giant was there too and had conjured their two fae eagles. The Eagles: were great —  the dragon was either going for something or retreating, headed for the wreck of the ship anyway, and a giant eagle can pretty much go as fast as a dragon AND they’ve got like, claws and stuff. As Im standing there, blinking and trying to get my bearings, the kobold straight up nailed the dragon with a dagger at like 60 feet then the paladin hit us with this amazing wave of healing. I could see straight! So I hit the dragon with a crossbow bolt and it screamed like, well. Like a nightmare. I really don’t know how to describe it. I cant really stop hearing it, even now, but I can’t exactly put it to words. “Loud“ would be one aspect, “blood-curdling“ is a little cliche but I think fitting, here. A really big, scary sound. The golem did some magic that made the dragon glow, but it beat its wings and knocked everyone but me and one of the eagles to the ground. The eagle that fell vanished into a puff of smoke when it hit. The other eagle, however, nailed the dragon with a claw and sent him falling to the pirate ship, dead.

We spent awhile robbing this dragon but most of his stuff is frozen in ice. I thought it would melt when he died but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I helped the Giant and the Demon butcher the dragon and then the Golem wanted me to come look at this cursed sword he’d found. That boy is a maniac for cursed swords, its like he attracts them. The boat looks like we might be able to get it to sail, if we can get it free. No sails, but no big holes I can immediately see either, but we’ll see what toll “being stuck in the side of a dragons lair for maybe 30 or 40 years” has taken.
