Hello, On a recent archeological expedition { to what used to be called Earth } I found, in the roots of a tree, a small bundle of cloth that itself contained a length of wire wrapped around a wooden rod. I thought, at first, that it was a sort of motor, but the care and reverence with which it had been buried suggested a religious significance. Careful examiniation revealed that upon it had been recorded, in electromagnetic waves, this story. It was in parts impossible to make out, due to the degredation of the material and the method of recording, so I have extrapolated the missing or occluded sections as far as I logically could based on our best currently available data. What is presented here is as honest a reproduction as is currently possible, carefully translated to preserve the intention of the original work. The original wire recording is our longest cohesive example of the language [tklang] and our only example, currently, of how it was spoken. Copies of the original recording have been made available by The National Museum upon request, and further work expanding our knowledge of this ancient language — and the peoples and cultures of the ancient world from which it comes — is needed.
